OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE
If you aren't a participating quilter and you or your friends or family would like to be part of this project, there are two special ways you can be involved in these projects.
The first way is to write personal cards or letters to the current Modern Day Heroes who have not received their quilts yet. If you write a message of support to any of the upcoming heroes, mail it to me and I will include it with the other notes and quilts when we deliver them. My mailing address is provided below.
Another way you can help is by contributing financially. As you can imagine, doing these projects costs money. If you would like to help defray our costs, please send a check to me and we will use it wisely!
One other important way you can participate, if you are a quilter. Honor a hero of your own choosing. Make them a quilt, or by starting another group project, to honor someone special maybe in your own community: teachers, crossing guards, local government people, volunteers, anyone you feel has made a difference. When you do this, please email me about it and send me pictures so I can add it to this website. Plenty of people are deserving of the special kind of sunshine we can provide.
